Biography
Japanese midfield dynamo, Momo Hayashi joined Roar ahead of the 2024/25 Ninja A-League season and quickly established herself as a fan favourite with five goals and two assists from 17 appearances in her first campaign in Brisbane.
Few players across the league could claim to have a better eye for the spectacular than Hayashi, who had two spectacular strikes nominated for Goal of the Season while she was also nominated for Fan’s Player of the Year alongside Tameka Yallop.
Since arriving in Queensland in 2019, the powerhouse has established herself as a stalwart in the NPL Queensland with Gold Coast United across seven seasons, where she is the club’s record appearance holder having scored more than 30 goals in that time.
In 2023 Hayashi won Football Queensland Player of the Year, Football Queensland Player’s Player, Gold Coast United Player of the Year and Football Queensland Team of the Season.
