Brisbane Roar striker Besart Berisha will miss this weekend’s Round 26 match against Western Sydney Wanderers at Pirtek Stadium, following confirmation he will serve a one match suspension for the red card he received against Melbourne Heart on Friday night.

Brisbane Roar striker Besart Berisha will miss this weekend-s Round 26 match against Western Sydney Wanderers at Pirtek Stadium, following confirmation he will serve a one match suspension for the red card he received against Melbourne Heart on Friday night.

Berisha will serve the minimum sanction of one match, being the mandatory match suspension.

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) – consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Alan Davidson and Alan Contini convened to consider the following incident from Round 25 of the Hyundai A-League:

1. The incident involving Besart Berisha (Brisbane Roar FC) in or around the 49th minute of Brisbane Roar FC-s match against Melbourne Heart FC on Friday evening. The MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Besart Berisha was issued with a direct red card. The MRP confirmed that Besart Berisha will serve the Minimum Sanction of one (1) match, being the Mandatory Match Suspension.
