Roar bolster defence with Cannon Clough signing
Brisbane Roar has added more defensive quality to its A-League Women's squad with the signing of two-time NPL Queensland champion Cannon Clough. The versatile full-back becomes Garrath McPherson's 12th confirmed squad member having forged a formidable reputation as one of the state's standout players. She has chalked up more than 60 NPL Women's appearances across three campaigns and memorably scored the winning penalty in the Queensland State Team's triumph over New South Wales in the Watson-O'Connor Cup in 2020.

Roar to face Capalaba in Wednesday night friendly

Roar strengthen Queensland core with Henry Hore
Brisbane Roar has sealed the addition of another exciting Queenslander with attacker Henry Hore signing on ahead of the new A-League season. Hore, 22, reunites with Head Coach Warren Moon after the pair enjoyed NPL Queensland success together at Lions FC. The goalscoring forward had a spell with the Brisbane Roar Youth side as a teenager before moving on to Perth Glory, where he was named Player of the Year for the club's Y-League team in 2019.

Brisbane Roar has continued its investment in local talent by signing former NPL Queensland Young Player of the Year Jez Lofthouse. The 21-year-old winger links up with Warren Moon's A-League outfit after starring at state level for Olympic FC. "I'm pretty stoked about it," Lofthouse said. Brisbane Roar sign Junior Matilda Mia Bailey
Brisbane Roar has given another opportunity to an emerging Queensland talent by signing goalkeeper Mia Bailey to her first W-League deal for the upcoming season. The Cairns-born Junior Matilda becomes the 11th confirmed member of Garrath McPherson's squad and second shot-stopper alongside fellow Future Matildas player Georgie Worth. "It's so surreal. It's a been a dream since I started playing football when I was five years old," said Bailey, who is completing her final year of high school.

First fixtures confirmed for new A-League & W-League seasons
Brisbane Roar's first fixtures for the new A-League and W-League seasons have been confirmed as the countdown to the 2021/22 campaign commences. Warren Moon's men face Melbourne City at AAMI Park in their first match on Friday, 19 November, while Garrath McPherson's side get underway with a trip to Perth Glory on Sunday, 4 December.

Report: New signings seal Roar’s FFA Cup progression past power
Brisbane Roar made a strong start to the new season as they progressed to the FFA Cup Round of 16 after overwhelming Peninsula Power 3-0 at Moreton Daily Stadium on Tuesday night. It was a night for the debutants as Matti Steinmann, Luke Ivanovic, and Juan Lescano all hit the scoresheet to see the Roar through to the next stage. Warren Moon's men were in control for much of their first FFA Cup match in two years, commanding possession early and giving away very little at the back.

Brisbane Roar sign Olympian Jordan Holmes
Brisbane Roar is delighted to confirm the signing of Australia Under-23 international Jordan Holmes ahead of tonight's FFA Cup opener at Moreton Daily Stadium. The Olyroo joins the Roar less than two months on from his trip to Tokyo 2020 and will be available for selection for the Round of 32 clash with Peninsula Power. Holmes, 24, has spent the past eight years in the United Kingdom, having joined the Bournemouth academy in 2013 following a stint with the Australian Institute of Sport.
