Roar’s match calendar confirmed in full Isuzu UTE A-League Men fixture release
Brisbane Roar supporters can look forward to a whole host of primetime weekend home matches this season following the release of the full Isuzu UTE A-League Men draw this morning. The Roar will play three times at Moreton Daily Stadium in an action-packed December opening, beginning with the Round 3 blockbuster against last season's Finals Series opponents Adelaide United on Saturday, 4 December (KO 4:05pm).

Brisbane Roar is pleased to confirm the signing of highly rated defender Anton Mlinarić on loan from Sydney FC until January. The 19-year-old, who represented Australia at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Brazil two years ago, has arrived in Queensland with a view to securing A-League Men's experience under Head Coach Warren Moon. "This is a good opportunity to improve as a player and play regular first-team football," Mlinarić said. "I'm looking to play and impress.

Brisbane Roar will embrace the club's Ipswich-based supporters when its A-League Men's outfit meets Adelaide United at the North Ipswich Reserve this Sunday, 31 October. The pre-season match is scheduled to kick off at the family friendly time of 2:00pm. It shapes as an important hit-out for Warren Moon's men leading into their Round 1 date with Melbourne City on 19 November. Roar CEO David Pourre said the club was looking forward to visiting another proud footballing region following the team's Fraser Coast camp in August.

Report: Dehmie hat-trick drives Roar into FFA Cup Quarter Finals
Cyrus Dehmie fired Brisbane Roar into the club's first FFA Cup Quarter Final appearance with a dazzling hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Lions FC on Sunday. The 19-year-old struck all three of his goals in a dominant second half after winning a penalty that Corey Brown converted just eight minutes into the match. Brown and his team-mates celebrated the opener by holding aloft a jersey emblazoned with Izaack Powell's name and number, having all worn the same special shirt during their warm-up.

Roar sign former Young Socceroo Nick Olsen
Brisbane Roar has secured further competition for places leading into the new season with the signing of versatile wide man Nick Olsen. Olsen, 26, returns to Australia after spending more than two years in Kuwait, first at Al-Jahra SC and then Khaitan SC in the nation's capital. The left-footed former Young Soceroo brings balance and depth to Warren Moon's squad, with the ability to play as a winger or wing-back. "I'm happy to be here and happy to have a chance to play in the A-League," Olsen said.

Gorry returns for 10th season with Brisbane Roar
Brisbane Roar great Katrina Gorry has re-signed with the Club for a 10th season in a huge boost for the upcoming A-League Women's campaign. The 78-cap Commonwealth Bank Matildas midfielder will become the third woman to achieve a decade of appearances in orange behind Clare Polkinghorne and Tameka Yallop. Gorry has been completing preliminary strength and conditioning work in recent weeks after giving birth to her first child, daughter Harper, in August.

The Brisbane Roar Academy is set to benefit from a new and multi-faceted partnership between Brisbane Roar FC and Marsden State High School, which will become the inaugural site in a series of Roar-recognised High Performance Football Schools. The Logan-based school will host some National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland fixtures for various BRFC Academy teams next season and provide access to its state-of-the-art infrastructure, which includes multiple football fields, a gymnasium and an indoor court facility plus analysis, rehabilitation and changing rooms.

Rankin earns second Commonwealth Bank Matildas call-up
Brisbane Roar defender Jamilla Rankin continues to make strides on the international stage after being named in the Commonwealth Bank Matildas squad for the second time. Tony Gustavsson's team are set to return home for the first time in almost 600 days for two matches against Brazil in Sydney on 23 and 26 October. Rankin, who earned her maiden call-up in September, has retained her place in a strong 23-player squad. The 19-year-old, who has family ties to Queensland, joins from Victorian side Alamein FC, having previously spent time training with Melbourne City. The move brings her closer to family members based on the north side of Brisbane and gives the former National Training Centre (NTC) player a chance to establish herself at the top level.
